How do I print wirelessly from a personal computer using Web Print?

Overview

This article will walk you through the steps on how to print from a personal computer using Lab Print.

Before you begin...

  • To print documents wirelessly, users must be connected to one of the local campus wireless networks: AurariaNet, MSUDenver, or one of their Guest counterparts.
  • Navigate to the Lab Print website at: print.msudenver.edu.
  • Log in to the website using your MSU Denver NetID and password.
  • Select the Web Print tab.

Instructions

  • Click Submit a Job.

  • Select GEN-LAB-PRINT if you are printing from a general computer lab. If not, select the appropriate printer.

  • After selection is made, click on “Print Options and Account Selection.
  • Printing Options
    • Select number of copies desired.
    • Click on "Upload Document".

  • Select a document to upload and print.
    • Click on "browse" to select a file on device. This will open a second window to search for and select a document.

  • The following file formats are supported by Papercut at this time:
    • Microsoft Office Excel: xlam, xls, xlsb, xlsm, xlsx, xltm, xltx.
    • Microsoft Office PowerPoint: pot, potm, potx, ppam, pps, ppsm, ppsx, ppt, pptm, pptx.
    • Microsoft Office Word: doc, docm, docx, dot, dotm, dotx, rtf
    • PDF: pdf
       
  • Please note that Microsoft documents will print in default settings. For example, if printing a PowerPoint presentation, selecting this option will print out each individual slide as a full page, unless the documents settings are changed. 
     
  • Once the desired document is found, click “Upload & Complete.” The Document will be held in the virtual queue to be released at the Control Pads located in select computer labs. Documents can be held in the printing queue for 1 hour. All documents that have not been released will automatically be deleted and removed from the printing queue after 1 hour. Users will not be charged for deleted documents.

 

Result

Your document will have printed successfully.
