Departmental Printer Requests

What is it?

MSU Denver has partnered with Xerox to provide leased, networked printer / scanner / copier machines (also known as Multifunction Printers or MFPs). Xerox will handle maintenance and supplies directly, as well as delivery and an initial setup of the unit. ITS will then make sure the network port is properly configured for printing and can make the printer available to the department as a whole. ITS supports the use of these leased MFPs over the use of smaller, departmental laser printers because support and repair is handled by knowledgeable service technicians from the providers.

In addition to setup, ITS can also provide scan-to-email and departmental print code lock-down functionality, should the department request it

Who can request this?

Departments can request new leased printers and we will work with Xerox and the department on financial, delivery and setup details.


The managed printer can only be printed to from a wired network port on campus, not the wireless. In addition, we do not purchase or support single-user desktop printers or departmental laser printers that are not covered by the Xerox lease agreement.

What to expect

ITS will contact you upon receipt of the request to coordinate specific needs and timelines.
