Overview
MSU Denver uses a tool called Jamf Connect to allow Students, Staff, and Faculty to sign into macOS computers. If you have been issued a macOS computer for your work, you may run into a situation in which you have changed your password for your Microsoft account(email, Canvas, etc...) but it has not updated(synced) with your macOS computer. This article will explain how to get those password synced.
Before you begin...
See if you can get signed into your computer using your old password. If this works, then please follow the steps below for Password syncing when logged in*.
If you do not remember your old password then please reach out to the Service Desk by submitting a ticket, or calling (303)352-7548 option 4.
*If your computer was deployed to you prior to 6/15/2024 and you remember your old password then please follow the steps for Password syncing when logged in - AD Bound.
Jamf Connect will use a couple different methods to notify you if your password is our of sync.
If you are logging in at the Entra ID login window(Microsoft SSO) and you enter your new password, you may see the following error.
At this screen enter your old password
