(Legacy) How do I connect to a Windows lab computer from a Windows personal computer?

Overview

Select MSU Denver lab computers and software can now be accessed off campus.

Before you begin...

Please review the following informational links for the Computer Lab Remote Access Tool:

Instructions

  1. Connect to GlobalProtect
    Global protect disconnected
  2. Navigate to https://labstats.msudenver.edu/ from a supported browser.

  3. Select an available computer and click Connect.

  4.  From the pop-up window, click Download.

  5. Open the .rdp file from your Downloads folder.

  6. Click Connect.

  7. Click More Choices.

  8. Click Use a different account.

  9. Enter your NetID and password and click OK.

  10. If the connection is successful, you will be taken to the computer's login screen.

Result

You are now logged into the remote computer and can access and use any of its installed software. Be sure to log out of the computer before closing Microsoft Remote Desktop and delete the .rdp file from your Downloads folder
