How do I use my own device in a conference room?

Overview

Laptops and other devices with an HDMI port can be used to connect to the video equipment in MSU Denver conference rooms. Follow these steps to connect your device to the TV.

Before you begin...

• Ensure either your device has an HDMI port or you have an HDMI adapter compatible with your device.
• Locate the room's TV remote.
• Locate the HDMI cable/connector for the room's equipment.

Instructions

1. Use the TV remote to turn on the TV.
2. Press HOME on the TV remote.
3. In the next menu, select SOURCE.
4. Select TABLE HDMI.
5. Connect your device to the room's HDMI cable.
6. If your computer screen does not show on the TV, verify your computer is on the correct setting to send picture to the TV:
   • Windows: Press Windows Flag + P, then select "Duplicate".
   • Mac: Go to System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement, then select "Mirror Displays".

Result

There may be a brief delay, but you should see your computer screen come up on the TV.
