Who is licensed to use ExpressScribe Pro?
Students, Faculty and Staff of the Sociology & Anthropology Department. Specifically those authorized to use the Ethnography lab in CN 106S. The license is entered on the computers in this area. There is one specific license for each computer and must be entered manually. Because of this, the software cannot be packaged in Software Center for automatic installation. If the computers in this area are replaced or re-imaged, the license must be deactivated first and re-activated on the new machine. The registration codes can only be used twice a year. How do I request access to ExpressScribe Pro?
- For MSU Denver issued Windows computers, ExpressScribe Pro is available to anyone who logs into the computers in CN 106S. If the software is not installed on the computer, please submit a Software Request for University Devices.
- For MSU Denver issued Mac computers, ExpressScribe Pro is not available.
- If you require ExpressScribe Pro to be installed in a department lab, please submit a Software Request for University Devices so that we can schedule a deployment.

How do I access ExpressScribe Pro?
Once you have installed ExpressScribe Pro from one of the methods above, you can launch the application from your Start menu (Windows) or Launchpad (Mac), the application will connect to your license server and you will be able to use it.
If you require assistance using the application, please contact your instructor, department tutor, or supervisor for help.
If you experience trouble installing the application, you receive license errors, or you feel it is not running correctly, please submit a Software Issues & Errors request.
