Data Center Storage Services

What is it?

MSU Denver maintains an on-premise data center for some enterprise services hosting. Departmental network drives and their data storage is one example of a common service maintained in our data center.

Use this request to:

  • Request the restoration of business data that existed during the last backup and was lost (this is not for Office 365/SharePoint data)
  • Request the increase of your current storage volume (this is possible only in limited cases)
Who can request this?
  • Any staff or faculty may submit a request for data restoration from backup.   
  • ITS employees and the staff and faculty that have storage volumes may place a request to grow their volume size.
Requirements

  • For data restoration, please include specifics as to where the data was stored, how long it was stored, when it was lost and any details such as the exact file names.

  • To grow storage, a business case may have to be presented. Volumes that are increased generally cannot be decreased later.
