How do I install software on an MSU Denver Mac computer using Self Service+?

Overview

Not to be confused with Self Service BannerJamf Self Service+ is a feature included on all MSU Denver-managed Apple devices that allow users to install, update, and uninstall pre-approved applications without requiring ITS support or intervention. This article will walk you through installing software through this tool.

How to Access Self Service+

  1. Open Spotlight Search.

    Note: If you do not have the app installed on your MSU Denver computer, please contact the ITS Service Desk.

  2. Search the term Self Service+ and open the Self Service+.app.

How to Install a Software Application

  1. In Self Service+ you will see some information about your user account, you password's sync status with Entra ID, and some featured content.

  1. Search for the name of the app you want to install in the search field (you can also scroll through the Catalog to locate it).
  2. Once you've found the app you're looking for, click the Install button.

  1. Once the installation completes, the spinning wheel will be replaced by 'Open' or 'Reinstall'.
