Access Center Technology

What is it?

Access Center Technology Support:

  • Assistive Technology Training
    • For Access Center students needing training on the use of assistive technology tools or features. Students needing assistance with general software like Canvas or Office 365 should use the Tutoring Center’s General Academic Skills Tutoring instead.
  • Assistive Technology Troubleshooting
    • For Access Center students experiencing an issue with an assistive technology. For general software issues, students should instead use the IT Software Issue or Error request.
  • Assistive Technology Consultation
    • For Access Center students who would like to learn more about assistive technology options that can support their academics.

Genio license request:

  • For Access Center students to request a license for the Genio notetaking software.

Who can request this?

All service offerings are available to students who are registered with the Access Center. If you need to register with the Access Center, please follow this link.

What to expect

A member of the Access Center Production staff will reach out via email within two business days to gather any additional information needed and to schedule a one-hour appointment. For troubleshooting requests, staff may recommend a 30 minute appointment to better diagnose certain issues.

Appointments can be done via Teams or in person at the Access Center (Plaza 122). All scheduled appointments will be reflected in the Accommodations Hub for students, and may be cancelled from here if necessary. Rescheduling cancelled appointments will require students to complete this request form again.

For Genio License Requests, a member of the Access Center Production staff will reach out via email within two business days to confirm if a license has been granted. Students will also receive an email directly from Genio with more information on logging into the software.
