Overview
ITS maintains user accounts (NetIDs) and email addresses for students and employees that have active relationships with the university. When this relationship is no longer active, ITS takes immediate steps to deactivate NetIDs for security and license maintenance. Thirty days after an account is deactivated, it will permanently deleted. Upon deletion, no data from Outlook, Teams, OneDrive or any other Microsoft 365 services will be available.
Your account is deemed inactive by the following depending on your role with MSU Denver:
- No activity for 3 consecutive semesters. (No class registration for 3 consecutive semesters including the summer semester.)
- Employment status has been marked inactive by Human Resources
Please see this KB for more information and FAQs: NetID General Information
