Steps to Install Software Plug-in on PC
- Step 1: Open MSU Denver software center by typing “software” into Windows search bar. If you are off campus you will need to disable your VPN before continuing.
- Step 2: Walk through the install process as prompted. This will install OfficeConnect on your computer.
- Step 3: Open any MS Office products and click [OfficeConnect], click here to start setup
- Step 4: Clicking the OfficeConnect button in any MS Office product will create the prompt below.
- Step 5: Click, [Log in with Workday] button in bottom right of window.
- Step 6: The following screen will pop up. Enter credentials exactly as shown
● Data Source: Financials
● Client ID: [SEE ABOVE for Production and Sandbox Settings ]
● API Endpoint URL: [SEE ABOVE for Production and Sandbox Settings ]
● Authorization endpoint URL: [SEE ABOVE for Production and Sandbox Settings ]
Result
That’s it! Now the user can connect any external data source from Office products to both the Adaptive Planning and Financial reporting in Workday.
Remember: if this is a new user that was not part of the initial workday launch and been provided officeconnect Previously, they will need to put in a separate TDX ticket to change your Workday security to “OfficeConnect access group”
