What is it?
Notice: MFA prompts from the Microsoft Authenticator app will require number matching beginning Feb. 27. If you use the recommended Microsoft Authenticator app, make sure you know what to expect and you're up to date before these changes go live.
Multi-Factor Authentication (also known as MFA or 2-step authentication) is an account security feature which allows enrolled users to better protect their MSU Denver NetID by requiring additional authentication steps when logging in, such as approving a push notification on a smartphone or entering a code received from a phone call. All MSU Denver user accounts have MFA applied to their account.
Please visit our KB articles on common MFA how-to's:
You may submit a request here for questions about your verification options (phone call, Authentication app, physical fob) and for assistance configuring any of those methods and your backup methods.
If you have lost or broken your verification device and cannot authenticate or cannot call us for support, use this service: Login Support
Who can request this?
All MSU Denver students, staff, and faculty can request support with their MFA settings here.
